Amma does not usually watch anime, but one night while scrolling through Netflix, she found the show [Redacted]. The main character was scorned for solely focusing on revenge, making it hard to sympathize with her.
The episode that inspired this painting was the only one in which Amma had a minuscule, infinitesimal grain of sympathy for her; it added a dimension to her otherwise flat character. Reflecting on the show, it is a perfect example of the power and necessity of healing. The show's title should actually be, "Hurt People, Hurt People."
Amma thought this painting would be simple because the sketch was simple, but it took so much work! She can be cliche and say that this process reflects how difficult it is to heal. However, sometimes it is just not that deep; it just took forever to make!
